THE CADET CHALLENGE

We have created The Cadet Challenge to give cadet units in the UK the opportunity to compete for The Cadet Challenge Trophy.

The challenge is to complete both days 4 and 5 of The Forces March (Saturday and Sunday) - a total of more than 57 miles in two days over a very demanding route.

The trophy is awarded to the team judged to be the most outstanding not just for marching ability but teamwork, attitude, organisation and determination.

The winning team gets to retain The Cadet Challenge Trophy for 12 months and to enjoy the accolade of being the most outstanding unit in the UK to take on The Cadet Challenge.

Previous winners, Somerset Cadet Battalion, have raised over £1500 for The Veterans Charity and have completed the challenge twice, in very fine style.

Units wishing to take part should download the information pack from this page which details what you will require and how to register your team entry.

Entry costs just £25 per team member and includes camping facilities, catering, GPS Tracking, manned and stocked checkpoints, medical support, safety vehicles, marshalls and medals for every team member.

Each team entering The Cadet Challenge is asked to raise a minimum of £250 sponsorship for The Veterans Charity.
